NBD Powerlifting — Fit Guide

Size Guide& Fit

Measure once, lift for life. Every NBD product is sized for real powerlifters — belts, sleeves, wraps, straps. Get the right fit the first time.

Powerlifting Belts

Belt Sizing

Measure your waist at the navel — not your pants size. Use a soft tape measure pulled snug but not tight. This is where the belt sits when you squat and deadlift.

SizeWaist (cm)Waist (inches)Best For
XS60–70 cm24–28"Lighter lifters, women's sizing
S70–80 cm28–32"Lean male lifters
M80–90 cm32–36"Most common size
L90–100 cm36–40"Heavier lifters, bigger builds
XL100–115 cm40–45"Powerlifters in heavier weight classes
XXL115–130 cm45–51"Super heavy weight class
Between sizes? Size up. The lever buckle adjusts in 2.5 cm increments — slightly larger gives you more adjustment range. You want to brace hard without the belt digging in.
Competition legal: NBD belts are 10 cm wide — the maximum allowed by IPF, USAPL, and USPA for all weight classes.
Knee Sleeves

Knee Sleeve Sizing

Measure the circumference of your knee at the centre of the kneecap with your leg straight. Measure both knees and use the larger number.

SizeKnee CircumferenceUse Case
S30–35 cmSmaller builds, tighter competition fit
M35–40 cmMost common — training and competition
L40–45 cmLarger quads, heavier lifters
XL45–50 cmHeavy weight class competitors
Competition vs Training: Size down for competition — maximum rebound. Use measured size for training — comfortable all session and easier to get on.
Wrist Wraps

Wrist Wrap Sizing

Sized by length only. Longer wraps give more layers = more stiffness = more support. Choose based on training intensity.

LengthBest ForNBD Product
18" ShortBeginners, gym training, lighter pressingNBD Special Wrist Wraps
24" MediumIntermediate lifters, regular heavy trainingPremium Black Series
1 MetreCompetitive powerlifters, max bench supportCompetition Ready 1M
Rule of thumb: Competing or pressing over 100 kg → use 1M. Training regularly → 24" is the sweet spot. Just starting out → 18" is fine.
Knee Wraps

Knee Wrap Sizing

Knee wraps are one size fits all — 2.5 metres long. How tightly you wrap determines the level of support and rebound.

Heavy Duty BandagesCompetition squats, maximum reboundHigh compression
Black Series Knee WrapsElite training, competition prepMaximum stiffness
How tight? Wraps should feel very tight standing — uncomfortable to walk in. Under load they feel right. The compression IS the rebound out of the hole.
Elbow Wraps

Elbow Wrap Sizing

Elbow wraps are one size fits all. Compression and warmth around the elbow joint — for heavy bench press, overhead press, and tricep work.

ProductBest For
NBD Elbow WrapsGeneral training, joint support, beginner to intermediate
Black Series Elbow WrapsHeavy bench pressing, competitive lifters
Sleeves vs Wraps: Sleeves slide on — best for warmth and light compression all session. Wraps are applied tightly before each max effort set for maximum joint support.
Lifting Straps

Lifting Strap Sizing

NBD lifting straps are one size fits all. The rubber grip coating locks to the bar without multiple wind-arounds — works for all pulling movements.

Measurement Guide

How to Measure

Use a soft tailoring tape. Measure snug — not pulled tight. Take each measurement twice to confirm.

01
Waist — For Belts

Measure at navel level (belly button), not hips. Stand relaxed, not flexed. This is where the belt sits when you lift.

02
Knee — For Sleeves

Measure at mid-patella (centre of kneecap) with leg straight. Measure both knees, use the larger number.

03
Wrist Wraps — Length Only

No measurement needed. Choose by length — see the wrap table above. Based on training level and how much support you need.

04
All Other Products

Knee wraps, elbow wraps, and lifting straps are one size fits all. No measurement needed.
