10mm is more flexible, breaks in faster, and suits lifters who want range of motion on squats. 13mm is maximum rigidity — preferred by powerlifters who prioritise support above all else. Both are Competition Spec. If you are unsure, 10mm is the easier starting point while still providing serious support.
Instead of a single lever point, this belt has multiple holes across the belt tail. Thread the tail through the buckle, line up your preferred holes, press the three pins in to lock. Takes slightly longer than a lever but gives you significantly more control over tightness and position.
It takes a few extra seconds than a pure lever but most lifters adapt quickly. Once you find your preferred hole position it becomes fast and consistent. The payoff is flexibility that a lever simply cannot offer.
